Prices for commonly used services as of January 2012

Blood Pressure Measurement	$26.75	This includes multiple blood pressure measurements at one time to get an accurate average of current blood pressure.
Blood – CBC PLS or LL	$28.00	This is a blood test that measures your cat’s red and white blood cells. We send this to one of two outside labs called Physicians Lab Service and LabLinc. This test may take up to 24 hours to obtain results.
Blood - Critical Care Profile In House	$41.50	This is part of our standard pre-surgical blood test. This test gives a few select organ enzymes and a few select electrolytes to help assess the safety of anesthesia.
Blood - Glucose Check	$18.00	This test is a fast blood test designed to give us your cat’s current glucose level. We have the results in a few seconds.
Blood - PCV	$13.25	This test is a quick test to obtain your cat’s red blood cell percentage, and to get a rough idea of if infection is present.
Blood - Serum Chemistry PLS or LL	$43.75	This is a blood test that measures your cats organ enzymes, electrolytes, and blood proteins. We send this test out to either PLS or LL. This test may take up to 48 hours to obtain results.
Blood - Serum Chemistry In House	$62.50	This is the same blood test as above, but run in the clinic in our chemistry analyzer. We can have the results of this test in under 30 minutes and need much less blood to run the test.
Blood - Standard Vet PLS or LL	$88.50	This blood tests combines a CBC, serum chemistry, and T4 level into one test. This test must be sent out to either PLS or LL and can take up to 72 hours to get the results. This test requires a full 2cc of blood to run.
Blood - Total Protein	$9.00	This test determines if your cat’s blood proteins are elevated which can indicate if your cat is dehydrated or has a systemic inflammatory condition.
Blood - Total T4 Levels Thyroid Assay PLS or LL	$30.25	This is a blood test that measures your cat’s total T4 thyroid hormone levels. We send this test out to either PLS or LL. This test may take up to 48-72 hours to obtain results.
Blood - Total T4 Levels Thyroid Assay In House	$37.75	This is the same blood test as above, but run in the clinic in our chemistry analyzer. We can have the results of this test in under 30 minutes and need much less blood to run the test.
Boarding - Day Care Stay	$9.00	This applies to cats that spend the day at the clinic in a cage, but who did not require medical services.
Boarding - Medical	$16.75	This applies to cats who spend the night and require some type of medical treatment such as medication to be administered.
Boarding - Routine	$12.25	This applies to healthy cats who spend the night, but do not require medical attention.
Complete Urinalysis	$41.75	This test is run on your cat’s urine to look for abnormal enzymes or chemicals and to look for the presence of abnormal cells or crystals in your cat’s urine.
Cytology - In House	$37.50	After performing a FNA, we will smear out the cells, stain them and look at them under a microscope. If we are able to make a diagnosis, this charge will apply.
Cytology - UNL	$71.75	If we are unable to make a diagnosis from looking at the cells in house, we will send the slides to a pathologist at UNL, in which case this charge will apply.
De-worming - Cestex	$5.88	This is a pill de-wormer that is commonly given to treat for tapeworms.
De-worming – Drontal Plus	$6.85	This is a pill de-wormer that treats roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms, If given in extended daily dosing, can also treat giardia.
De-worming - Profender	$15.50	This is a topical de-wormer applied much like a flea treatment that treats roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms for up to a month. Can be applied monthly.
De-worming - Pyrantel	$5.00	This is a yellow liquid de-wormer that is commonly given to treat for roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. May require two doses 2-3 weeks apart.
Doctor Exam - Brief	$13.00	This charge is if the veterinarian does not examine your entire cat, but only 1 or 2 body systems.
Doctor Exam - Extended	$40.00	If your cat requires a more thorough exhaustive exam than a basic exam will do, you may be subject to this charge.
Doctor Exam - Recheck	$13.00	This charge is if the veterinarian is rechecking a certain area on your cat that has been seen for a previously diagnosed problem. This may or may not include a full exam, or just rechecking a certain body system.
Doctor Exam - Routine	$26.00	This includes a basic physical exam for your cat from head to tail by the veterinarian.
Ear Cytology - Oil	$12.00	This is a microscopic exam of wax from your cat’s ear to look for the presence of ear mites.
Ear Cytology - Stained	$18.00	This is a microscopic exam of wax from your cat’s ear to look for presence of bacterial or yeast infection.
Ear Mite Treatment	$11.00	This is an ivermectin solution that we will put in your cat’s ears to eradicate ear mites. One application will eliminate all of the ear mites in 99% of cats.
Euthanasia	$30.00	This is the same charge regardless of whether you choose to be present with your cat or not. This is a simple IV injection of pentobarbital.
Fecal Float	$22.00	This test looks for the presence of certain types of intestinal parasite eggs from your cat’s stool sample.
Fecal Smear	$20.00	This test looks for certain types of intestinal parasite organisms and bacterial overgrowth in your cat’s fresh stool sample.
FeLV Test	$40.00	This is a blood test that tests your cat for the presence of infectious feline leukemia.
FeLV/FIV/HW Test	$60.00	This blood test tests for infectious feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, and heartworm antigen.
Fine Needle Aspirate	$16.25	This is when we take a needle and insert it into a skin tumor or mass to obtain cells to determine the type of tumor.
Hospitalization - Intensive Care	$38.00	This applies to cats that stay overnight that are so ill that the veterinarian will come back after hours to monitor and/or administer treatments.
Hospitalization - Routine	$23.75	This applies to cats who are sick or who have just had surgery that stay overnight and require more intensive monitoring by the veterinarian and licensed veterinary technicians, or who are waiting for test results to decide further treatment.
IV Pump	$32.25	This is charged when your cat requires an IV with fluids and a pump to regulate fluid intake for more than a few hours. This includes more intensive monitoring of your cat during the day.
Microchipping	$37.75	This includes the microchip, the implanting of the microchip, and the registration fee.
Nail Trim	$10.25	We will only charge this if this is the only reason your cat has come into the clinic. If we do a routine exam, this is done at no extra charge if desired.
Office Visit - Extended	$42.00	This is if your office visit exceeds 30 minutes in length, such as if your cat has multiple or severe health issues, or if you bring multiple cats in for exams at the same time.
Office Visit - Recheck	$12.00	This includes up to 30 minutes of time for you to spend with the veterinarian discussing your cat on a medical issue that your cat has been previously seen for in the previous 3 months.
Office Visit - Routine	$23.00	This includes up to 30 minutes of time for you to spend with the veterinarian discussing your cat while the vet does a physical exam on your cat.
Pre-Surgical Exam	$13.00	This is a brief exam performed prior to putting your cat under for surgery if we have never seen your cat for a routine surgery before. This exam only assesses safety of anesthesia and general overall health, this is not a full exam.
Subcutaneous Fluids	$9.50	This charge is applied if we give your cat subcutaneous fluids for any reason. These fluids most commonly used include 0.9% NaCl, LRS, and Plasmalyte
Syringe Feeding	$6.25	This is charged when a cat needs to be syringe fed because they are not eating.
Vaccination - Leukemia Purevax - 1 year	$22.25	This vaccination is given as a first leukemia vaccination to cats that go outside, may go outside, or live with a leukemia positive cat.
Vaccination - Leukemia Purevax – 3 years	$22.25	This vaccination is only given to adult cats that have had previous leukemia vaccinations, and who may go outside but do not live with a leukemia positive cat.
Vaccination - Rabies 1 year	$10.25	This is a rabies vaccination that will be good for one year, usually given to kittens.
Vaccination - Rabies 3 years	$16.50	This is a rabies vaccination that will be good for three years, only give to adult cats with previous rabies vaccinations.
Vaccination - Rabies Purevax	$22.25	This is a non-adjuvanted rabies vaccine that is only good for one year. This is generally given to cats with a high risk of forming lumps from vaccinations.
Vaccination - Rabies Imrab3	$16.50	This vaccine is primarily used in ferrets, as it is the only legal rabies vaccination for use in ferrets.
Vaccination - RCP Series	$19.00	This vaccination is given to young kittens under the age of 3 months as part of a series to protect them from herpes virus, calici virus, and distemper virus. Also known as the distemper vaccination.
Vaccination - RCP 1 year	$19.00	This vaccination is given to a kitten who is over 3 months of age, or an adult cat with an unknown vaccination history.
Vaccination - RCP 3 years	$19.00	This vaccination is given to adult cats every 3 years to help to continue to protect them from herpes virus, calici virus, and distemper virus.
Vaccination - RCP Intranasal	$19.00	This vaccination is given into the nose for cats that are at higher risk of contracting herpes virus or calici virus, or who need a faster or more effective immune response. Often given to kittens as a first vaccination.
X-ray - Large film, 2 views	$89.00	This is an x-ray taken of the full body of your cat (unless your cat is very large) for both a ventrodorsal view and a lateral view.
X-ray - Small film, 2 views	$52.00	This is a smaller x-ray film that is most common used for bladder x-rays and for full body x-rays of kittens or ferrets.
